You’ll be relieved to know that Tom Brady arrived at U.S. Bank Stadium for Super Bowl 52 without gloves on.

Tom Brady’s hand has been the source of perhaps too much speculation over the last few weeks. When he appeared on the injury report before the AFC Championship Game, the football world went to Defcon 5, locking themselves in their bunkers to stay safe.

Brady being injured is something that rarely happens, and the context of the injury was important. Jacksonville’s defense was vaunted this year, with the secondary producing some of the most devastating nightmares that quarterbacks have had since the Legion of Boom burst onto the scene.

If Brady was playing hurt, that would have been an angle for the Jaguars to exploit as any ball thrown mildly off target was a potential game-changing interception. As it turns out, the Patriots were absolutely fine and now Brady is getting ready to try and win yet another Super Bowl.

Brady arrived for the game, not only looking like he was about to take over Nakatomi Tower but without gloves on either of his hands.

Now we can all rest easy knowing that Brady’s hand is alright. The Eagles secondary isn’t as good as the one Brady faced in the AFC title game, but having him back to full health can only help the Patriots chances.

If he was able to lead the team on a comeback with only one good hand, then that bodes very well for how the Patriots will do now that Brady is back to full strength.
