2018 NFL mock draft: Saquon Barkley heads to Giants
By Brad Weiss
Incredibly, the Philadelphia Eagles knocked off the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII, capturing the team’s first Super Bowl ring. Sure, the Eagles won some NFL Championships back in the day, but this city had been thirsting for a Super Bowl win. Not only did they win the big game, but they beat arguably the best quarterback in NFL history, and the City of Brotherly Love had one heck of a parade after the victory.
When the Eagles look to 2018, they have to be very excited at what they see. Quarterback Carson Wentz will be back at some point, as he was lost for the 2017 season back in Week 13. One player who may not be back, due to age, and the fact he also blew out his knee in 2017, is star left tackle Jason Peters. Peters has had a Hall of Fame career with the Eagles, and nobody could fault him for riding off into the sunset.
Next: Vikings have tough QB decision
The Eagles will have to address the offensive tackle position, and it is going to be a priority this offseason. They may be able to secure a solid player at No. 32 in Chukwuma Okorafor, who played his college ball at Western Michigan, but is starting to get some draft buzz. Okorafor is a big man, and has the talent to stay on the left side in the NFL, which is exactly where the Eagles need him.
