Jimmy Graham is taking his talents to Green Bay, and might have the best stretch of his career.

When Jimmy Graham was traded from New Orleans to Seattle, we all thought it would stimulate a stagnant Seahawks offense. A few years later, the offense in Seattle is still working to get off the ground, but Graham is landing in perhaps the best place he’s ever played.

How many tight ends can say they’ve played for two of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time. Graham started his career with Drew Brees throwing to him and very well could finish it out with Aaron Rodgers.

On Tuesday, Graham reached an agreement with the Green Bay Packers.

Contract details

The money hasn’t been announced yet, but it looks like a three-year deal for Graham. If all goes well, he can either leave in three years at age 35 and maybe collect on another deal. Or he could stay in Green Bay as long as Rodgers is throwing to him, which would be the best possible thing for him.

On the surface, this is a grand slam wrapped in a slam dunk. It’s a gangbuster move for the Packers, who just added a guy who could finally give Aaron Rodgers a dangerous tight end threat — something that has been lacking for a while. With Graham, Green Bay has a deadly redzone threat and someone who can stretch the field as a receiver. His prime years are behind him, but Graham is still one of the best tight ends in football and could very well remind us of that in a very loud way this season.
