Huddersfield are four points above Crystal Palace in the table going into Saturday’s match. This is a huge contest for both sides as they battle to stay in the Premier League. The Terriers have picked up seven points in their past four matches after losing five straight. Their last game against Swansea was a bit disappointing, as Jordan Ayew was sent off after 11 minutes for a bad tackle on a Huddersfield player, but they couldn’t take advantage of the extra man as the match ended scoreless. David Wagner’s side needs to pick up points in their next few matches as they end the season against Chelsea, Everton, Manchester City and Arsenal.
Crystal Palace have lost four straight matches and haven’t won since the middle of January. Their slide has seen them fall back into the bottom three of the Premier League after their gradual climb months before. In their defense, they’ve played Tottenham, Manchester United and Chelsea in their last three. Palace do have a considerably easier schedule down the stretch, so they’ll have every chance to stay up come the end of the season. Roy Hodgson will want to start that off with a win in Huddersfield.
