Daniel Bryan has been medically cleared to return to in-ring action by WWE.

YES! YES! YES!

In stunning news from WWE.com on Tuesday afternoon, Daniel Bryan has been medically cleared to return to in-ring action just less than three weeks ahead of WrestleMania 34 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

The timing of the announcement couldn’t be better.

"“Following more than two years of extensive evaluations, four-time World Champion Daniel Bryan has been medically cleared to return to in-ring competition by leading neurosurgeons, neurologists and concussion experts, including Dr. Robert Cantu, Dr. Javier Cárdenas and Dr. Jeffrey Kutcher.”"

Bryan, who formally retired from in-ring competition due to a series of injuries on an episode of Monday Night RAW on Feb. 8, 2016, had been previously cleared by other specialists throughout the country, but WWE wouldn’t take the chance to clear him with its own doctors. However, things have changed and this is big news heading into the biggest show of the year.

Following the brand split in 2016, Bryan has been the general manager of SmackDown Live and on a number of occasions, it seemed like we were getting close to an actual in-ring return. There were the confrontations with The Miz that just screamed for a match, but we never got it. More recently, he’s been involved in a major storyline involving Shane McMahon, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn. Could that lead to Daniel Bryan teaming up with Shane-O-Mac on the grandest stage of them all? We’ll hopefully have plenty of more information after tonight’s episode of SmackDown Live on the USA Network.
