Crystal Palace and Liverpool are at opposite ends of the Premier League table ahead of their game Saturday at Selhurst Park. Roy Hodgson’s side are fighting to stay above the relegation zone. With seven games to play, Palace are only two points above 18th-place Southampton, who have played one fewer games. Liverpool are third, behind both Manchester clubs and will look to maintain their position in the top four and build a bigger lead on fifth place Chelsea.

Palace defeated Huddersfield 2-0, snapping a four-game losing streak. Luka Milivojevic scored against Huddersfield, giving him a team-best eight goals this season. Since the beginning of 2018, Milivojevic has scored five goals in Palace’s 10 games. While Milivojevic is striving recently, the Eagles are struggling with injuries in midfield. Wilfried Zaha, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Jason Puncheon, and Bakary Sako could all miss Saturday’s game. With so many injuries, Palace need Christian Benteke to play significantly better. After arriving last season from Liverpool as the second most expensive transfer in club history, Benteke has been awful this season, scoring only twice.

In their final game before the international break, Liverpool demolished Watford 5-0, behind four goals from Egyptian sensation Mohamed Salah. The Reds have won four of their last five games but still trail Manchester United by two points. Offensively, Liverpool have been lead by Salah, who has thrived in his first season under Jurgen Klopp. Salah has been incredible this season, scoring 28 goals and adding 10 assists to become the favorite to win player of the year. Defensively, the purchase of Virgil van Dijk has helped solidify the club after mistakes cost them points in the first half of the season.
