Real Madrid face Atletico Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday, April 8. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

The Madrid derby resumes on Sunday as Real Madrid host Atletico at the Santiago Bernabeu. While Real hold a commanding lead in the lifetime series, Atletico have the edge since the 2013-14 season. Over the last nine games, Atleti have won four times, including three times inside of the Santiago Bernabeu, while Real have won only one game.

Real Madrid are third in La Liga, one point ahead of Valencia but 13 points behind Barcelona. Zinedine Zidane’s squad have won four straight games and seven of their last eight La Liga games. On Tuesday, Madrid defeated Juventus 3-0 in Turin. Cristiano Ronaldo scored a brace, including one of the best goals this season. Since the start of 2018, Ronaldo has scored 23 goals in his last 14 games. The Portuguese superstar has scored in six straight La Liga games, scoring 14 goals.

Atletico Madrid are second in La Liga, nine points behind Barcelona and four points ahead of Real Madrid. Atleti have lost two of their last four games but those two losses are their only La Liga losses since the start of 2018. On Thursday, Atletico hosted Sporting in the first leg of the Europa League quarterfinal. Diego Simeone will have to make changes to his defense, as four players could miss Sunday’s game with injuries. Offensively, Antoine Griezmann has been Atleti’s best player, scoring 17 goals and adding eight assists.
