Liverpool advanced to the Champions League semifinals for the first time in a decade on Tuesday, beating Manchester City 2-1. On Saturday, the Reds host Bournemouth at Anfield. The Cherries are 11th with 38 points and seem likely to survive again.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are 10 points clear of Chelsea for the final Champions League spot. After Tuesday’s game, Klopp might decide to rest key players late in the season. Mohamed Salah has been incredible this season and could challenge Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi for the Ballon d’Or. The Egyptian superstar scored against Manchester City on Tuesday, giving him 39 goals in all competitions this season, including 29 in the Premier League. Trent Alexander-Arnold has emerged as one of the best Liverpool youth products in years. The 19-year-old right-back played well in both legs against City and looks like a future star for Liverpool and England.

Bournemouth drew 2-2 with Crystal Palace last weekend. On Boxing Day, the Cherries were in the relegation zone. However, in their 14 games since Boxing Day, Bournemouth have picked up 22. After a terrible first half of the season, Joshua King has started to find the back of the net. King has scored in the Cherries last two games and scored four goals in his last eight games. While Bournemouth are eighth in goals, they have struggled to defend this season. Eddie Howe’s side have allowed the fifth most goals in the Premier League. Against Liverpool’s strong attack, the Cherries will need to have a good game defensively if they want to pick up any points.
