Welcome into the Sunday edition of the FanDuel daily fantasy baseball column! We have a longer than normal 11 game slate on hand so let’s get rolling.

We saw another strong night on Saturday with a score over 170 points. That easily hit the cash line in every format and it cost us a few bucks that Max Scherzer didn’t get the win he deserved. Nobody played Pedro Alvarez , who came up clutch with 25 points. Giancarlo Stanton waited until his last at-bat but he left the yard as well. Let’s keep this little streak rolling!

Orioles at Red Sox

Orioles Probable Starter – Andrew Cashner, RHP

4.83 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 20.9 strikeout rate

Vs LHH – .267 average, .385 wOBA, 52.9 fly ball rate and 28.2 hard contact rate

Vs RHH – .247 average, .330 wOBA, 32.9 fly ball rate and 35.8 hard contact rate

A Red Sox stack is basically in play every single day at this point, especially when Mookie Betts is hitting everything in sight. It’s hard to see how Cashner finds a path to success in this matchup on the road. I wouldn’t touch him even in a large field GPP. Any bat you want for Boston is a good option. I have the most interest in the lefties and the typical big guns.

Red Sox Hitters to Target

Elite Options – Mookie Betts, J.D. Martinez, Andrew Benintendi, Mitch Moreland

Secondary Options – Xander Bogaerts, Hanley Ramirez

Red Sox Probable Starter – Eduardo Rodriguez, LHP

4.68 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 28.5 strikeout rate

Vs LHH – .107 average, .257 wOBA, 58.3 fly ball rate and 33.3 hard contact rate

Vs RHH – .242 average, .312 wOBA, 45.4 fly ball rate and 29.9 hard contact rate

If you’ve been with me through the whole year, you know I like using Rodriguez quite a bit. The strikeouts tend to be there and they could show up today against the Orioles. Baltimore is right in the middle as far as strikeout rate against lefties and they have the penchant for being hot or cold. I’d give Rodriguez a try in tournaments but I wouldn’t be surprised if he struggles. Baltimore has nine righties to put in their lineup and could give Rodriguez fits. I’d be careful attacking him too heavy. The range of outcomes on this side of the game is pretty wide.

Baltimore Hitters to Target

Elite Options – Manny Machado, Danny Valencia

Secondary Options – Adam Jones, Trey Mancini, Mark Trumbo, Jonathan Schoop

Home Run Pick – Hanley Ramirez
