For the People wraps up its first season tonight with “This Is What I Wanted to Say,” and we’ve got all the details you need to watch For the People online.

Since we’re heading into the season finale of a show we already know has been confirmed for season 2, I feel very comfortable stating just how much I enjoy For the People. I don’t know if it’s because it’s a show about millennials and I’m a millennial, but I find myself laughing out loud every few minutes — more than any other ABC show, to be honest. Is it refreshing, new or different? No. But little things, like Roger and Jill’s complicated non-relationship combined with Seth’s “convenient principles” assessment of Kate Littlejohn and Jay’s long-distance echo across Sandra’s office, all weave together perfectly in this show.

There are a lot of mediocre shows on television with very little substance, and fortunately, For the People is not one of them.

Now, let’s check out the synopsis for Tuesday night’s season finale, courtesy of ABC:

"In the Season 1 finale, Sandra defends a hydrologist accused of spying for the Chinese government, but the similarities between this and a former case she lost has her confidence shaken. Meanwhile, Jay faces his fears and goes up against Kate in a case involving a PTA president accused of selling drugs to students; and Allison receives a tempting proposition from her wine-forger client, and Leonard reaches out to Kate for advice that culminates with a surprising confession."

When it comes to Leonard and Kate Littlejohn, I haven’t quite figured out what their dynamic is supposed to be. It seems to be written like there are some lingering feelings, but they don’t have any sort of real chemistry. At least, not in a romantic sense. Plus, the show hinted at this coupling in a previous episode and totally zagged in the other direction. Thus, it’s hard to tell what this “surprising confession” could be.
