Take it with a grain of salt, but rumors have begun about the roster for Super Smash Bros. on the Nintendo Switch.

We’re three weeks away from the biggest video game event of the year. E3 is finally almost here. One company that always has a huge presence is Nintendo. It has a variety of IPs fans love, one of them being Super Smash Bros. The newest installment for the Nintendo Switch was revealed two months ago. Details are still minimal, but you can bet we’ll get some juicy details during Nintendo’s E3 presentation. Of course, though, rumors are already starting about who will be on the playable roster.

The rumor comes from Gamefaqs user Vergeben, who has released some leaks in the past. Obviously, we won’t firmly believe in this rumor until Nintendo confirms it. Then again, it’s always fun to speculate. The rumor states Ridley will indeed be a playable character in the next game. Fans have been wanting Ridley as a playable character for quite some time. However, due to his size and his strange structure, we always thought it would be a bit weird.

With Masahiro Sakurai developing, though, it’s hard to doubt the man with so much talent. Other roster rumors include the return of the Ice Climbers and another new addition in Simon Belmont of the Castlevania franchise. Seeing the Ice Climbers potentially return is great since they’ve been in the series since Melee. Not having them available in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS was strange.

The lack of Castlevania in these games has also been somewhat alarming. In reality, that world is full of interesting characters. Hopefully, it’s true, which means we have another worthy character to choose from in this versatile roster.
