Taco Bell is trying to give you free tacos, but they can’t do it if you’re not cheering for a a team to win on the road in the Eastern Conference Finals.

Tacos. Mexico’s greatest export. Sorry, Alberto Del Rio.

Everyone loves tacos because they give the impression that you’re eating healthy. Lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, olives, rice, corn, and anything healthy you can think of. You can put it all on tacos. But beneath all of those options lies beef, chicken, shrimp, beans, and any other ingredient that might not be great for your stomach. And to top it all off? Hot sauce. Lots and lots of hot sauce.

In March 2012, Taco Bell combined tacos with Doritos. Absolutely genius. Doritos are the best chips because they leave leftovers on your fingers. You think you’ve had your last Dorito, but nope. There’s still powder on your fingers for you to enjoy. It’s a snack after your snack. Taco Bell took the best snack, combined it with the best dinner, and your stomach was never the same.

Now, they want to share it with you. For free. I assume most of you reading this have had a Doritos Locos Taco. But if you haven’t, you can get a free one on June 13 or June 20. And if you have had a Doritos Locos Taco, you can still enjoy one for free on those dates. This is not a promotion for those who have never had one. It’s a promotion for anyone with working tastebuds. Taco Bell is trying to give you a top five food for free and all you have to do is show up.

This can’t happen if the Cleveland Cavaliers win Game 6 and the Boston Celtics win Game 7.

Free tacos are only given away on those dates if a road team wins a game in the NBA Finals.

The Boston Celtics are 10-0 at home and 1-6 on the road in the playoffs. Their only road victory came in overtime after the Sixers prematurely shot their confetti. It barely counts. The Cleveland Cavaliers are 7-1 at home and 3-5 on the road. Two of those victories were against the Raptors, which is the second home of LeBron James.

We can’t get free tacos and if neither of these teams lose at home or win on the road.

If you have no rooting interest in the Eastern Conference Finals. Root for tacos.
