The fifth season of The 100 continues on Tuesday night with episode 6, “Exit Wounds.” Here are the details on how to watch the episode online.
After a couple of weeks off the air, The 100 returns this week. And building off of the end of the last new episode, it looks like there could actually be some happy moments. Clarke and Madi have finally been reunited and so have Bellamy and Echo.
But this is The 100, so any happiness is sure to end fast. Not only do they have to worry about the violent prisoners and their high tech weapons, there is also Octavia to deal with. The leader of Wonkru sees Madi as a threat, and she is not exactly the biggest fan of Echo on account of Echo trying to kill her.
Here is the synopsis for the episode from TVGuide.
"Kane’s attempt to prove himself useful tests Wonkru’s allegiance to Octavia. Madi faces an unexpected threat inside Wonkru, forcing Clarke to make an unlikely ally."
Why would Octavia see a child as a threat? Getting the Grounders to follow a non-Niteblood Commander was not easy and required a lot of bloodshed. In the bunker, the people had no choice, it was follow Octavia or die. But, now they are out of the bunker and there is a living Niteblood for the Grounders to follow.
So, Octavia could view Madi as a threat to her role as leader, or as a threat to the unity of Wonkru. Either way, if Clarke feels that Madi is in any sort of danger, Clarke will protect her daughter. Even if that means going against Octavia.
With war against the prisoners looming, Clarke and Octavia really need to stay on the same side. But, Octavia’s actions may make that impossible. The question then becomes what does Clarke do if she can no longer side with Octavia and Wonkru? Bellamy may also be put in a tough spot this episode as his sister will likely want to kill his girlfriend.
