After a bumpy third season, Supergirl wraps up the season tonight in the finale, “Battles Lost and Won.” So, here’s how to watch Supergirl online or on TV.

There was a moment in “Make It Reign” where Kara spoke of helping her father in the lab. With just a few throwaway lines, we could envision Kara Zor-El helping with cross-dimensional transportation and offering any assistance possible to help improve the lives of her people. We also know that she knows about quantum entanglement.

If you need a refresher of what happened in the latest episode leading to Monday’s finale, here’s our Supergirl recap and review of “Make It Reign.”

So, why couldn’t she fix the portal to get back home by herself? Why does Supergirl insist on making her so helpless and ineffective when she is, in fact, the Girl of Steel. She’s the sonic-clap, heat vision, super speed, compassionate Girl of Steel who stops a robbery with a broken arm and loves potstickers.

Perhaps, the cast switch up next season will make more room for Supergirl once again … which, of course, is an odd request for a show specifically named after her.

Now, let’s check out the synopsis for Monday’s season finale of Supergirl, courtesy of TV Guide:

"In the Season 3 finale, Supergirl and the team face Serena in a battle for Earth."

“Battle for Earth” is so overdone nowadays. Season 1, battle for Earth against Non. Season 2, battle for Earth against Rhea. Season 3, battle for Earth against Serena. It’s as if they don’t know how to raise the stakes without making it just a battle for Earth.

Supergirl didn’t establish anything (or remain consistent with the things they did establish) enough to make this feel urgent.

At the end of last week’s episode, Alura proved to be a smart and valuable asset, but it got me thinking: What about Clark? Sure, it’s called Supergirl. But they played the Superman card last season and now they can’t take it back. Doesn’t Alura want to see him? More importantly, the season 2 finale established that Supergirl is even more powerful than him, yet she keeps losing to Reign. What gives?

Let’s check out a preview of the finale:
