The internet is going crazy as LeBron James is spotted landing in LA.

The internet narrative of the last few months has been LeBron James to the Lakers. Even before the season began, Lakers fans began dreaming of King James in purple and gold. However, the move has never seemed more possible than it is right now. After choosing to not opt in to his contract Friday, James was spotted landing at a Los Angeles airport early Saturday morning.

While teams can’t begin meeting with free agents until the official start of free agency, it’s believed James has a meeting scheduled with the Lakers. This is interesting, especially considering James has no meeting scheduled with the Cavs at the moment. Are the Lakers now in the driver’s seat to land the King?

The internet seems to think so. As their pursuit of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George continues, the Lakers are doing everything in their power to return to greatness. Once James makes his decision, other free agent dominos will continue to fall. In the long run, Los Angeles’ wild success is riding on whether or not they land a star.

Los Angeles is believed to be the first stop for James on his free agency tour. However, he seems to have his list narrowed down to a handful of teams. Coming off one of the best seasons of his career, James is one of the most sought-after free agents in the league’s history. Even at the age of 33, James averaged 27.5 points, 8.6 rebounds and 9.1 assists per game in 2017-18.

He led his team to the Finals, eventually being swept aside by Golden State. James is said to be looking for a place he could contend. If the Lakers can land another star, their chances of signing James are extremely high.
