Here are the latest betting odds for the 2018 edition of The Open Championship from Carnoustie.

The Open Championship is once again ready to be the talk of the golf world and for the eighth time in history and the first time in 11 years, the sport’s oldest major championship returns to historic Carnoustie, site of many of this famed championship’s greatest victories.

Beginning early Thursday morning (or late Wednesday night for some in the U.S.), 156 of the best players in the world will tee it up for the chance at the Claret Jug, one of sports’ most prized trophies. Leading the way is current world number one and The Open favorite, Dustin Johnson, who came up just short last month in his bid for his second major championship, finishing a disappointing third at the U.S. Open after being at the top of the leaderboard for the first three days.

Surprisingly right behind DJ in the latest betting odds is four-time major champion and winner of The Open Championship in 2014, Rory McIlroy. It’s a bit surprising to see him in this spot given his missed cut at Shinnecock Hills, especially since he sits right above defending Open champ Jordan Spieth, who is joined by Justin Rose, Rickie Fowler and Tommy Fleetwood in a foursome currently going off as 16-1 favorites.

Back-to-back U.S. Open winner Brooks Koepka, world number two Justin Thomas, world number five Jon Rahm and three-time winner of The Open, Tiger Woods, round out the top 10 at 20-1.
