Here’s the TV schedule on TNT and CBS for the 100th edition of the PGA Championship.

The 2018 edition of the PGA Championship — golf’s final major championship of the year for the final time as the tournament moves to its new spot on the calendar next May at Bethpage — begins this Thursday, Aug. 9 at the Bellerive Country Club in suburban St. Louis and TNT and CBS will once again be handling the TV side of things.

It’s a bit unfortunate that there’s no early-morning coverage the first couple of days, meaning that certain groups might get missed if you’re going strictly with television coverage, but there are still 28 hours on the docket so golf fans can’t complain too much. TNT will start with six hours of coverage on both Thursday and Friday and will add three hours of the earlier rounds on the weekends before Jim Nantz and company take over on CBS for the leaders.

Who those leaders might be come the weekend is anyone’s guess. There are so many players playing fantastic golf right now and any one of them could hoist the Wanamaker Trophy come Sunday evening. Defending champion Justin Thomas, who will be paired with Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy in a monster group the first two days, just won the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and is coming in hot. World number one Dustin Johnson has a win and a top-three finish in his last two outings after missing the cut at Carnoustie and is always a threat.

Francesco Molinari is one of the hottest golfers in the world right now and The Open Championship winner will be joined by Masters champ Patrick Reed and back-to-back U.S. Open winner Brooks Koepka on Thursday and Friday. Any one of those three could make a run this week and possibly lock up Player of the Year honors.

It’s going to be yet another whirlwind of a ride this week. Here’s the TV schedule for both TNT and CBS for the 100th edition of the PGA Championship.
