The Florida State Seminoles could be look at a bounce-back season and an appearance in the 2019 College Football Playoff.

The Seminoles are not one of the first teams you think of when looking at the top contenders to reach the 2019 College Football Playoff. They finished 2017 with a disappointing 7-6 record, and that was after winning their last four games.

They team is implementing a new spread offense under Willie Taggart after Jimbo Fisher decided to try his luck in the SEC. They lost several standouts on defense, most notably first-round pick Derwin James. They are ranked a lowly 19th in the preseason Coaches poll.

But Taggart has had success everywhere he’s been. Florida State brings enough talent back to put out one of the best offenses in the nation. They also have one of the deepest pools of talent in the country with four top-five recruiting classes in the last five years.

If you’re looking for dark horse to crash the CFP party, the Seminoles might be the team. Here are five reasons Florida State will make the 2019 College Football Playoff.
