After a big summer of spending, West Ham were a popular pick to break into the top half of the table but have struggled out of the gate. On Saturday, West Ham host Wolves at London Stadium. Wolves were also a popular pick to finish in the top half of the table but have picked up only two points in their first three games.

There might not be another team in the Premier League that has a tougher schedule to start the season. After playing Wolves on Saturday, West Ham have Everton, Chelsea and Manchester United on the schedule. The Hammers need to start picking up points or they could be looking for a new manager. West Ham will have to solve their defensive woes if they are going to pick up their first points of the season. Over the first three games, West Ham have allowed nine goals. Marko Arnautovic has had a good start to the season, scoring both of the Hammers goals.

Wolves were able to take a point from reigning Premier League champions Manchester City last weekend. Willy Boly scored for Wolves against City. The Portuguese defender was signed this season from Porto to solidify the back three. Ruben Neves continues to be one of the best young players to watch this season. The 21-year-old Portuguese midfielder is Wolves best playmaker, scoring a goal and assisting on another this season.

West Ham and Wolves have not played since January 2016 in the FA Cup when the Hammers won 1-0. The two clubs last Premier League game against each other was on Jan. 1, 2011 with West Ham winning 2-0.
