Florida, Mississippi State and Texas A&M are making moves in this week’s SEC power rankings after big wins over LSU, Auburn and Kentucky.

Dan Mullen’s victory lap on Saturday is going to irritate LSU fans for years to come. It delighted Gators’ fans in Gainesville though. Florida’s big home win over the Tigers was the biggest storyline of the SEC weekend.

It wasn’t the only interesting result though. Texas A&M put an end to Kentucky’s unbeaten start in College Station. The Wildcats didn’t play poorly, but they didn’t do enough to earn a huge road victory.

Things were also pretty interesting in Starkville. Mississippi State was desperate for a big win and they got one against Auburn. Nick Fitzgerald and company dominated the Tigers en route to a 23-9 win.

In short, things are getting crazy in the SEC. Read on to see where every team stands after a wild Week 6.

The Razorbacks didn’t really threaten Alabama, but they did manage to irritate Nick Saban by scoring 31 points. That might be Chad Morris’ biggest accomplishment of the season.

Rakeem Boyd deserves special praise for his efforts against the Crimson Tide defense. He managed to go over the 100-yard mark on just 15 carries. Not many running backs enjoy that kind of success against Alabama. This game was a moral victory for the Arkansas offense. Unfortunately, it was an utter and complete disaster for the ‘Hogs D.

Jeremy Pruitt and his staff were very happy to get a week off to spend coaching their team up. Tennessee has been pretty awful this season, at least they didn’t lose this weekend.

Unfortunately, the Volunteers travel to Auburn next weekend. Unless Pruitt landed some big-time recruits during the bye, his team will suffer another SEC loss to the Tigers. This was a brief respite in what will be a really long year for Tennessee fans.
