Arrow begins its seventh season with episode 1, “Inmate 4587,” in its new Monday time slot. Here’s how to watch the episode online.

When season 7 of Arrow premieres on Monday night, Oliver Queen will be five months into his prison sentence for being the Green Arrow. But Star City still needs a green leather-wearing archer out there keeping the streets safe. And someone will be under the hood while Oliver is in prison.

From what is shown in the trailer, the new Green Arrow first appears in the premiere and has not been around for the first few months while Oliver was behind bars. In fact, Star City had been vigilante-free as stricter laws forced Team Arrow to disband.

So, who is the new Green Arrow? As Black Siren, doing her best Earth-1 Laurel DA impersonation points out, it is not Oliver. The next most obvious answer is that Diggle put the suit back on. He was given the suit by Oliver in the season 6 finale.

Yet it seems that Diggle is happy working for ARGUS and is also confused by who this new Green Arrow is. Unless this is just a misdirect to throw fans off the easy answer, Diggle likely won’t be the person under the hood.

Instead, maybe the new Green Arrow is Roy Harper. It could be that the big twist is Roy’s return is that he will be taking up Oliver’s mantle. Could it be that the Roy of season 7 will be from a different Earth, one where Roy, not Ollie is the Green Arrow? That could be a way for the show to easily get around why Roy left Thea and Nyssa. Or this is Earth-1 Roy and he decided to put on the suit without telling anybody that he was back in Star City.
