Saturday Night Live Thanksgiving live stream: How to watch online

There’s no better time for political satire than the Thanksgiving holidays! I’m kidding, of course (of course), but that isn’t going to stop NBC and Saturday Night Live for capitalizing on families getting together and celebrating the one show everyone can come together and watch for its (collectively curated) excellent sketches.

Thankfully for viewers at home, there is a wide collection of absolutely excellent Thanksgiving-themed sketches for Saturday Night Live to draw upon. Some of the best classic sketches are related to the festive time of year, including Bill Murray and Jane Curtin joining the kids table in a season 5 sketch back in the late ’70s.

Not only are there great classic Thanksgiving sketches, but there are also contemporary versions imitating classic TV moments. Look no further than Bill Hader’s tragically underused Vincent Price impression, hosting a variety of holiday parties with celebrities of the 1950s. Meanwhile, the kids are all about ironic internet memes now, so why not have a laugh or two with Guy Fieri taking you to Flavortown?

The best Saturday Night Live sketches are where a straightforward premise is met with a sudden turn into absurdity. A modern classic example, while not as culturally relevant of a song today, is Adele’s “Hello” taking a tumultuous, tense clash of cultural, religious and political backgrounds and having everyone quiet down and sign one of the strongest pop ballads of the 2010s.
