Welcome to NHL DFS Man Advantage for Monday night December 3rd! Tonight we have a small 3 game slate with the big game of the night coming to us from Smashville with the Predators hosting the Buffalo Sabres in a battle of two of the league’s top teams. In the early game Tampa is in New Jersey and in the late game Edmonton travels to Texas to take on Dallas.

NHL DFS Goalies

With only a 3 game NHL DFS slate there are not too many choices but I am going to go with the top goaltender in the league this season, Pekka Rinne. After back to back losses Rinne and the Preds got a win against Chicago on Saturday night. On the season Rinne is sport a league best (among qualifying goalies) 1.86 GAA and the 2nd best SV% at 934

My other choice for goalie tonight is Mikko Koskinen. Koskinen has won 4 of his last 5 starts and is sporting a an average of 6.6 FPPG in those 5 starts. On the season Koskinen has a 2.15 GAA and a .928 SV%

NHL DFS Top Plays:

Conor McDavid ($8.1) – McDavid is the best player in the league, arguably. After 26 games McDavid is 5th in the NHL with 35 points and has points in 8 of his last 9 games. While McDavid is a top a play, you could save cash and take his linemates in a mini stack as well. Alex Chiason ($4.7K) has 3 goals in his last 3 games and 11 goals overall in 20 games. Leon Draisaitl ($6.5k) has assists in 3 straight games and 29 points on the season in 26 games.

More from FanSided

Taylor Hall ($7.4K) – Hall has a goal and 3 assists and is averaging over 5 FPPG in his last 3 games. Both Hall and the Devils are having down years but this is a game that Vegas feels will be high scoring and (6.5 projected goals) and the top line will most likely get the scoring going for New Jersey.

Jeff Skinner ($6.9K) –  Skinner has found a resurgence  of sorts with the Sabres this season. Skinner has 20 goals already on the season after only scoring 24 playing in all 82 games. Over the Sabres last 6 games Skinner has scored 6 goals.

Rasmus Ristolainen ($5.1K) – Ristolainen is the Sabres top D man and plays on the top pair and also on the first PP unit with Jeff Skinner. Over the Sabres last 4 games Ristolainen is averaging a shade under 4 FPPG and is playing over 25 minutes per game.

Blake Coleman ($4.9K) – Coleman hasn’t been filling up the score sheet but he is still getting the peripheral stats. While only scoring once and assisting on one goal, he has 12 sog in the last 3. Coleman is averaging over 4 FPPG.

Mikhail Sergachev ($4K) – We used Sergachev on Saturday night and it paid off with 3 FP and an assist. Sergachev is on the 3rd D pair for Tampa, but does see time on the second PP unit.

NHL DFS Top Line Stacks

Tampa 2 – Tyler JohnsonBrayden PointNikita KucherovWhile Steven Stamkos  is a top individual play his line mates have not been producing enough for me to consider them for a line stack. Tampa’s second line is their best line right now. Kucherov leads the Lightning in assists (27) and points (38) and Point leads the team in goals with 19.

Nashville 1 – Eeli TolvanenRyan JohansenKevin FialaWith Filip Forsberg landing on the IR this weekend it made room for Tolvanen responded to his call up with a goal and 6.5 FP in his first game with the Preds this season.
