Welcome to NHL DFS Man Advantage for Wednesday night December 12th! Tonight we have another Wednesday night small slate on tap with 4 games tonight. If you’re a cash game player these small slates are better in my opinion, but it makes GPP’s more difficult with such limited options.
With a small NHL DFS slate like this we will have to dig deep to find the best values to match up with our top guys. There are a couple of teams that will be extremely popular, like Pittsburgh and Calgary, playing against bad teams with bad goalies in net.
NHL DFS Goalies:
Tonight’s top goaltender is Casey DeSmith ($8,100) has what looks to be an easy matchup with the Blackhawks on the second night of a back to back. In 20 games this season DeSmith has a 2.34 GAA and great .925 save percentage on the season along with 2 shutouts. In his last 4 starts DeSmith has 3 wins and a OT loss.
Another option in net tonight is Marc-Andre Fleury (7,600) in his mathup with the Islanders. Fleury seems underpriced to my based on the Islanders inability to score at the moment. Fleury has won 8 of is last 10 games while sporting a 2.30 GAA and a .920 SV%
Mike Smith ($8,300) is another great option in a home against Philadelphia. Smith is 7-3 in his last 10 games and has won 6 straight starts with a 2.30 GAA and a .909 SV%

NHL DFS Top Plays:
Sidney Crosby ($8,100) – Over his last 10 games Crosby has 7 goals and 13 points as well as 33 SOG. The Penguins captain is also averaging 5.4 FPPG over the last 10. Crosby and line mates Jake Guentzel ($6,600) and Phil Kessel ($7,100) also make for the best line stack on the night as well
Sean Monahan ($7,500) – Monahan sees a big salary jump from his previous game for tonight’s prime matchup with the Flyers. Over his last 10 Monahan has 11 points and is averaging just under 5 FPPG during the last 10

Mark Giordano ($6,200) – After serving a 2 game suspension for his hit on Minnesota’s Mikko Koivu on 12/6 Giordano will return to the Flames lineup Wednesday. In the 2 games before his suspension Giordano had 5 assists and was averagin 6 FPPG while playing over 24 minutes of TOI.
Claude Giroux ($6,000) – Giroux is the hottest thing going on the Flyers with 14 points in hit last 10 games as well as averaging 5 FPPG. Giroux is also seeing a ton of ice time for a forward averaging 20 minutes of TOI per game. Pairing Giroux with Travis Konecny ($4,900) make for a great mini stack as Konecny has amassed 11 points in the last 10 as well.
Ryan Getzlaf ($5,700) – It seems like Getzlaf has turned back the clock this season. Over his last 5 games Getzlaf has 2 goals and 4 assists. My top value line is Getzlaf along with Pontus Aberg ($5,000) and Daniel Sprong ($4,000)
Miro Heiskanen ($4,400) – Heiskanen has 1 goal and 4 assists in his last 5 games for Dallas while playing while playing alongside Esa Lindell ($4,000) on the Stars top D pair. Heiskanen also sees time playing on the Stars second PP unit as well.
As far as line stacks go I gave you my top two above but I also like both of the top two lines from Vegas as well
Vegas 1 – Reilly Smith – William Karlsson – Jonathan Marchessault
Vegas 2 – Alex Tuch – Cody Eakin – Max Pacioretty ( Pacioretty is my favorite one-off play from the Golden Knights as well)
