Its win and you are in for Shakhtar Donetsk and Lyon in the final game of the Champions League group stage. Lyon are guaranteed at least a spot in the Europa League regardless of the result on Wednesday but a draw would see them through to the round of 16. A draw would move Shakhtar into the Europa League knockout stage. However, if Shakhtar loses and Hoffenheim upset Manchester City, they would miss out on both knockout stages.
Shakhtar are first in the Ukrainian league, picking up 45 points in 18 league games. In the previous game with Lyon, Shakhtar allowed two goals in a three-minute stretch, allowing the French club to pick up a point. Donetsk will rely on Junior Moraes to help carry his team into the knockout stage. Moraes has had an incredible season, scoring 17 goals and nine assists in all competitions this season.
Lyon are fourth in Ligue 1 after losing 2-0 to Stade Rennais. The result was very disappointing for Bruno Genesio, who played all of his regulars. Lyon have been disappointing at both ends of the field. In Ligue 1, Lyon have scored 26 goals and have allowed 20 in 16 games. Memphis Depay and Nabil Fekir will both play big roles for Lyon on Wednesday. Depay leads the club with six goals and 10 assists in all competitions, Fekir is one of the best players in France not playing for Paris Saint-Germain.
