With the release of Aquaman just around the corner on Dec. 21, fans may still be wondering exactly how the movie will be released. Is Aquaman in 3D?

It probably won’t come as a big surprise that Warner Bros. is making Jason Momoa’s first solo adventure available in 3D as well as IMAX 3D. Most big-screen blockbusters get the three-dimensional treatment these days and since one of the strongest points of the new DC movie is its visuals, it makes perfect sense to play into that. The real question is who wants to see tidal waves crashing toward them, or giant sharks that look like they might bite your face off?

But not every movie theater has the ability to present 3D screenings, so how do you find out if that’s an option for you and get your tickets?

The best option is to use the popular ticketing brands Fandango and Atom, either online or via each of their respective apps. Both have Aquaman 3D tickets available, both in regular 3D and in select areas, IMAX 3D. They’ll list Aquaman 3D showtimes and you can secure your seats for the opening weekend with just a few clicks.

Whatever site or app you utilize, look closely when making your purchase, because most theaters are rolling out the movie as early as 7 p.m. Thursday night (though some earlier showtimes may have sold out already). It’s also possible that Atom, Fandango and even movie chains themselves will offer promotions tied to the film, since this is such a highly anticipated release.

Fans have multiple ways to get their tickets in hand before Dec. 21 and make sure that they’re in line to check out the latest DC Universe movie in jaw-dropping 3D.
