The Bluebirds are three points above the relegation zone after 20 games. Spurs are third in the Premier League but are nine points behind first-place, Liverpool.
The Bluebirds were a popular pick to be relegated in their first season back in the Premier League. However, Cardiff have shocked many. The lone Welsh team in the Premier League defeated Leicester 1-0 over the weekend, with Víctor Camarasa scoring his third goal of the season. In their last nine games, Cardiff have picked up 13 points. The Bluebirds will go for their second straight win on Tuesday against Spurs.
Over the past three seasons, Tottenham have finished second and twice finished third. After 20 games, Spurs are again third in the table. If Mauricio Pochettino’s team are finally going to break through and win the Premier League title, they will have to go on a heck of a run in the second half of the season. Spurs lost 3-1 to Wolves over the weekend, snapping a five-game winning streak. Harry Kane scored his 13th goal of the season against Wolves, giving him a share of the Premier League lead. Tottenham will rely on Kane to pick up all three points on Tuesday.
