In one of the craziest endings you’ll ever see, the Chicago Bears lost to the Philadelphia Eagles on a missed potential game-winning field goal.

The Chicago Bears had a terrific season to make the playoffs, and ended up playing in easily the most dramatic Wild Card game of the weekend against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Not only was the game itself a nail-biter, the final moments were also some of the craziest you’ll ever watch in a football game.

With the Bears down 16-15 with just a few seconds left, kicker Cody Parkey came out to try and kick the game-winning field goal from 43 yards out. Eagles head coach Doug Pederson decided to ice Parkey, who made the first try.

Unfortunately, on the second one, Parkey somehow ended up hitting the field goal post *and* the crossbar to miss it and give the Eagles the win. Cris Collinsworth dubbed it the “double doink”, which will probably be its name for the rest of history.

The look on Matt Nagy’s face said it all.

It’s obviously a heartbreaking moment for the Bears, the fans and especially Parkey. It’ll take some time for everyone to recover from a game like this, but the future is certainly bright in Chicago with all of the talent on the roster and coaching staff.

They may not want to talk about it now, but this team is still going to be a legitimate Super Bowl contender for years to come.
