Genoa face AC Milan at Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Monday, Jan. 21. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Following the short winter break, the Serie A season resumes. Genoa kick off the second half of the season with a game against AC Milan at Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Monday. Genoa are 14th in the table with 20 points. Milan are battling for a top-four spot but enter the weekend in fifth place, one point behind fourth-place Lazio.

Genoa’s first half of the season was highlighted by the incredible play of Krzysztof Piatek. The Polish striker was one of the best signings in the summer, arriving for €4.5 million, and scoring 13 goals in 19 games. However, Piatek will miss the game on Monday against Milan with a yellow card suspension. Genoa will struggle to score goals without Piatek, whose 13 goals are more than the rest of the team has scored. Piatek’s strong half of the season has caught the interest of Milan, who are rumored to be interesting in signing the Polish striker as a replacement for Gonzalo Higuain, who is likely on his way to Chelsea.

Milan have spent most of the season bouncing between fourth and fifth in the table with Lazio. Gennaro Gattuso’s team has settled for seven draws this season, including five draws in their nine away games. Milan’s biggest problem has been their inability to score goals consistently, finding the back of the net only 26 goals. Higuain leads the club with six goals but will not play as he completes a transfer to Chelsea. With Suso injured, Milan will be without their top two scorers this season. Patrick Cutrone will start in place of Higuain and will lead the attack for Milan as they look to pick up all three points on Monday.
