Bayer Leverkusen vs. Bayern Munich live stream: Watch Bundesliga online
By Adam Stocker
Bayer Leverkusen face Bayern Munich at BayArena on Saturday, Feb. 2. Here’s all the info you need to watch online.
The Bundesliga race for the spots in Champions League and Europa League will likely go down to the final weeks of the season. After a terrible start to the season, Bayer Leverkusen have climbed up the table. Leverkusen enter the weekend in ninth place, seven points behind fourth-place RB Leipzig. On Saturday, Leverkusen host Bayern Munich at BayArena. Bayern are six points behind Borussia Dortmund as they chase their seventh straight title.
Die Werkself lost their first three games of the season and picked up only 11 points in their first 11 games. Over their last eight games, Bayer picked up 16 points to get back into the race for a spot in Europe next season. Kevin Volland and Kai Havertz both scored in Leverkusen’s 3-0 victory over Wolfsburg last weekend. Both players are tied for the team lead with seven goals this season. Havertz is considered the best young German player. The 19-year-old Havertz ability to create in the midfield is matched by fewer players in the Bundesliga and will certainly play a large role on Saturday.
Bayern have won seven games in a row and looked the best they have all season. Last weekend, Bayern easily beat Stuttgart, winning 4-1. Robert Lewandowski scored his 12th goal of the season, while Leon Goretzka scored for the second straight game. Goretzka has found success lately playing behind Lewandowski. Niko Kovac’s team will use the same formula to continue their winning streak.
