Welcome to NHL DFS Man Advantage for Saturday night February 2nd! After an 8 night slate last night we are back at it with 11 games on tonight’s huge Saturday night slate. There a lot of interesting plays tonight in all price ranges and I am looking forward to building a couple of rosters tonight.

Tonight’s NHL DFS Schedule:

7pm:

Anaheim @ Winnipeg

Pittsburgh @ Toronto

Detroit @ Ottawa

Vegas @ Florida

Los Angeles @ NY Islanders

St. Louis @ Columbus

8pm:

Tampa Bay @ NY Rangers

Dallas @ Nashville

Chicago @ Minnesota

10pm:

Vancouver @ Colorado

10:30pm:

Arizona @ San Jose

NHL DFS Goalies:

Stop me if you’ve heard this before, Los Angeles is a bad team, and because of this Robin Lehner ($8,200) is my top netminder tonight. Coming into tonight’s game Lehner has only 2 regulation loses since December 10th (ironically both came on the 12th of each month this streak has spanned) and accumulated 11 wins.  LA has only scored 14 goals in their last 5 games before the All Star break for an average of under 3 goals per game.

My next two goalies are pretty much neck and neck for me and I don’t think you can go wrong with either of them. Martin Jones ($8,200) and Marc-Andre Fleury ($8,000) are both playing well for 2 really good teams and both are worth a look on Saturday night. If I were to choose one, I’d probably go with Jones just for the sheer fact he has been resting at home and hasn’t had to go on the road at all. Fleury is probably the better goalie, but he did play in the All Star game and even though he didn’t start Friday night Vegas did play in Carolina and are on the second night of a back to back.

My low price option tonight is Anton Khudobin ($7,100) in Nashville. I gave you some of his stats yesterday so I won’t dive into them again. Both teams played last night and both are traveling so it’s a pretty even matchup as far as that goes. I just like how good Khudobin has been playing and Nashville hasn’t been scoring a ton lately.

SAN JOSE, CALIFORNIA – JANUARY 25: Gabriel Landeskog #92 of the Colorado Avalanche and Elias Pettersson #40 of the Vancouver Canucks take part in the 2019 SAP NHL All-Star Skills Night at the SAP Center on January 25, 2019 in San Jose, California. NHL DFS Top Forwards:

Top Tier:

Sidney Crosby ($7,800) – Sidney Crosby is still really good at hockey, and he also really loves playing hockey in Toronto. Sid has points has in 7 of his last 10 games against Toronto and points in 4 straight games in Toronto. Play Sid the Kid tonight and go from there

Elias Pettersson ($7,100) –   After missing five games with a knee injury Pettersson came back on January 20th and picked up right where he left off. In his two games since his return Pettersson has 1 goal and 2 assists as well as over 16 minutes of ice time.

Artemi Panarin ($6,700) – Artemi Panarin is playing for a contract and it shows. In his first 2 game since the All Star break Bread Man has 1 goal and 3 assists and is averaging 6.25 FPPG in those games. Panarin and linemates Pierre-Luc Dubois and if he plays, Cam Atkinson make a great line stack against the Blues.

Mid Tier:

Evander Kane ($6,400) – Kane has 5 goals and 3 assists in his last 5 games while also taking 21 shots on goal in that same span. Kane has been playing close to 20 minutes per game for the Sharks which is a great thing for someone you’re looking to use in fantasy. Since he’s been playing nearly 1/3 of the entire game, rare for a forward on the second or third line (Kane has been bouncing back and forth between both lines). Kane plays with Joonas Donskoi and Tomas Hertl on the second line currently.

Carl Soderberg ($5,700) – Soderberg is a pretty good play but could become a must play if Nathan MacKinnon doesn’t play. If the news comes down that MacKinnon is out and if Soderberg is running morning rushes with the MacKinnon line then I am locking him in as my #2 center after Crosby.

Frank Vatrano ($5,000) Vatrano headed into the break with 5 goals and 9 points over his last seven contests. He’s already set new career highs with 47 games played, 16 goals and 26 points. The Massachusetts native also scored a goal in each of the Panthers’ last three games heading in to the breaks as well.

Value Tier:

Charlie Coyle ($4,400) – Coyle has 2 goals and 2 assists in his last 3 games (not including Friday night). Chicago is on the second night of a back to back as well and will most likely have Collin Delia in net who has surrendered 22 goals in his last 6 starts for a GAA of 3.67. Coyle plays alongside Jordan Greenway and Eric Staal on the Wild’s top line.

William Nylander ($3,900) – Nylander is finally at a price where I feel comfortable playing him. Nylander and Nazim Kadri seemed to find some chemistry in their first game playing together against Washington on 1/23 where they combined for 3 goals, 4 assists, and 27.5 fantasy points. I like the two of them again tonight as a mini line stack, maybe even pairing them with Crosby for a game stack as well.

Nick Bjugstad ($3,300) – With Evgeni Malkin out again on Saturday night it seems that Bjugstad will play with Phil Kessel and Bryan Rust again. Bjugstad played exceptionally well in his first game as a Penguin with only 10 minutes to get ready for the game. As a cheap flyer playing with two potent goal scorers he will make it easy for you to lock in some top-tier guys.

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – JANUARY 21: (L-R) Paul Stastny #26, Max Pacioretty #67 and Nick Holden #22 of the Vegas Golden Knights celebrate after Stastny assisted Pacioretty on a second-period goal against the Minnesota Wild during their game at T-Mobile Arena on January 21, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. NHL DFS Defensemen:

Pay Up-

Seth Jones ($6,400) – Seth Jones came back from the break with 2 assists and averaging 3.5 FPPG in 2 games. Jones is one of the most underrated Dmen in the league.

More from FanSided

Other options: Thomas Chabot ($5,900), Jake Muzzin ($5,000)

Pay Down-

Mike Matheson ($3,900) – Matheson has 2 goals in the Panthers last 4 games and is an offensive threat but also puts up peripheral stats to make him a great value. With 8 SOG and 6 blocked shots to go with his 2 goals in the last 4 games Matheson has been averaging 3.25 FPPG.

Other options: Ben Chiarot ($3,000)
