NHL DFS Goalies:

Tonight’s top goalie choice for me is pretty simple when you look at the schedule and the matchup, I am pegging Braden Holtby ($8,300) as my pick. In 2 starts against the Devils, Holtby is 2-0 with a 1.50 GAA, a .951 save %, and 1 shutout as well as an 8.3 DKFP per game avg.

Another top pick in net for me is Carter Hart ($8,100) at home vs the Canadiens. After suffering 3 straight loses, Hart got back in the win column with a huge win over the Penguins Sunday night. Hart stopped 41 of 42 Penguin shots for 10.2 DKFP.

Tuukka Rask ($7,800) is severely underpriced in my opinion tonight against an Islander team that has scored 10 goals in their last 5 games. Rask has been virtually unbeatable against the Islanders this season with a 2-0 record and a 0.96 GAA and a .966 SV%.

Two other goalies I am considering are Frederik Andersen ($7,500) in Nashville and Phillip Grubauer ($7,400) in Minnesota.

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – FEBRUARY 28: Aleksander Barkov #16 of the Florida Panthers celebrates with teammates on the bench after scoring a second-period goal against the Vegas Golden Knights at T-Mobile Arena on February 28, 2019 in Las Vegas, Nevada. NHL DFS Top Forwards:

Top Tier:

Nathan MacKinnon ($7,700) – Since January of 2018 (6 games), MacKinnon has 5 goals and 6 assists against the Wild. MacKinnon is top 5 best player in the league but this season has been plagued by inconsistency and if Colorado plans on chasing down a play spot, no matter how unlikely it may be, they will need MacKinnon to be on his game against a team they are chasing in the standings.

Aleksander Barkov ($7,200) – Barkov is on an absolute tear right now but you might not even realize it because he is playing on a bad team going nowhere. In his last 6 games, Barkov has 2 goals and 13 assists. Barkov and his linemates, Jonathan Huberdeau and Evgenii Dadonovare a great stack tonight are a great stack tonight as well for a game everyone will probably sleep on.

Matthew Tkachuk ($6,500) – Tkachuk may be the hottest thing going on the Calgary Flames right now. In his last 4 games Tkachuk has 6 goals and 4 assists as well as 17 shots on goal. Tkachuk also plays on the top PP line for the Flames as well.

Mid Tier:

Ryan Johansen ($5,500) – Johansen has an assist in 4 straight games for the Preds while centering the top line. Unfortunately Johansen hasn’t been getting too many points outside of his assists during this streak but facing a Toronto team that has allowed 5+ goals in 4 straight games.

David Perron ($5,200) – For the first time in a long time Perron is a relevant fantasy option right now. Perron comes into tonight’s game riding a 15 game point streak with 7 goals and 11 assists during his streak.

Value Tier:

Ryan Donato ($4,200) – Donato started out hot for Minnesota, but had cooled for a 6 game span, but in his last 2 games he has 2 goals and 2 assists and will look to keep that momentum going against the Av’s tonight. If Varlamov starts for Colorado, Donato and Minnesota become a much better play for me.

William Nylander ($3,600) – Nylander has been beginning to earn his big contract  since he was moved up to the Auston Matthews line a few weeks back. In his last 5 games Nylander has 6 assists as well as 14 shots on goal.

Teddy Blueger ($2,9000 – With Evgeni Malkin out injured Blueger stepped back into the lineup on Sunday and responded with hi 4th goal of the season for the Pens in just 19 games. Blueger  has taken Malkin’s spot centering the Penguins 2nd line with Phil Kessel and Bryan Rust which makes for a great value line stack

NHL DFS Top Defensemen:

Top Tier:

Mark Giordano ($6,300) – Giordano has been one of the hottest Dmen all season and especially against Columbus. In 1 game against the Blue Jackets this season Giordano has 3 assists as well as 6.5 DKFP.

Other Options: Morgan Rielly ($6,400), Shaybe Gostisbehere ($5,300)

Value Tier:

Matt Benning ($2,900) – Benning has 3 goals and an assist for Edmonton over their last 4 games. This season Benning has been very quiet but of late he seems to getting hot at the triht now.

Other Options: Dmitry Orlov ($3,700), Nikita Zaitsev ($3,500)

WASHINGTON, DC – DECEMBER 02: Alex Ovechkin #8 of the Washington Capitals celebrates after assisting Nicklas Backstrom #19 for a goal against the Anaheim Ducks during the first period at Capital One Arena on December 02, 2018 in Washington, DC. (Photo by Patrick Smith/Getty Images)

NHL DFS Line Stack:

My top overall line is the Washington and their top PP unit. This line should see plenty of action tonight with New Jersey tied for 4th in the league in times short hand.

More from FanSided

EVGENY KUZNETSOv

NICKLAS BACKSTROM
T.J. OSHIE
ALEX OVECHKIN
JOHN CARLSON

These are just 2 lines I wanted tonight and the ones I think will have huge games.

Other Options:

Calgary 1

Boston 1

Dallas1

Colombus 1

NY Ranges 2

NHL DFS Core Plays:

My core will most likely start with the Penguins second line and the Caps PP unit Mentioned above. I will use Blueger and Kessel, and Ovechkin and Backstrom in my lineups. Next I want to use Orlov on D and Tuuka Rask  in net. Last I am going to hope Perron can  keep his point streak going. With all these guys in it’ll leave you $4,800 for a defensemen and your utility spot.
