POR money line

Let’s dive into the slate…

NBA DFS Guard:

Russell Westbrook, OKC ($10,300)

Westbrook is the top play at the position, you will notice a theme throughout the article. We’re going to recommend playing this game heavily! Westbrook has now posted a triple double in four straight games, will look to do it again tonight.

I think Oklahoma City is going to steal game 2 tonight and Westbrook is going to be involved. Westbrook has averaged 57 DraftKings points in five games against Portland this season.

Damian Lillard, POR ($8,700)

No doubt about it, that Damian Lillard doesn’t get the credit he deserves on a night-in, night-out bases. Lillard is the lock of the slate. Playing Lillard saves $1,600 and he has played really well against Oklahoma City in all five games in this match-up this season.

In the first five games, Lillard is averaging 55.2 DraftKings points per game against Oklahoma City. The fact that we have a three game slate, will help keep his ownership percentage slightly down, but this guy is going to be above 50% owned on this slate and rightfully so.

Kyle Lowry, TOR ($6,500)

Lowry was really bad in Game 1, has had multiple of these moments in the playoffs. Lowry shot an embarrassing 0-7 from the field, 0-6 from the 3-point line and he scored zero points. Toronto possesses the second highest team total on the slate, and Lowry makes for an excellent tournament play.

If Lowry scores just 10 points, he smashes tournament value at this low price tag. Lowry is another guy that I will have massive exposure too as people will go elsewhere.

Jamal Murray, DEN ($6,300)

Murray was brutal in Game 1 of the series and he still hit 5x value. Murray shot 8-24 from the field and 0-6 from three and still got to 30.5 DraftKings points. The price tag is simply way too low for Murray, as he is capable of going for 40-plus DraftKings points at any time. Murray will likely be popular today.

NBA DFS Value:

Patty Mills, SAS ($3,400)

Mills probably has the most upside at this price tag and is the cheapest guard I would be willing to play. The only other sneakier value I could recommend is Marco Belinelli ($3,400) just because a lot of people are going to go Mills get salary relief. However, the Mills could have 30 fantasy points likely easier than Marco Belinelli.

Position Overview:

Lillard is the absolute lock of the slate, and the chalk build is probably centered around Damian Lillard and  Jamal Murray. Westbrook will be popular as well. For tournaments, I love Kyle Lowry, hoping he can put it all together at lower ownership. Patty Mills is the value at the position tonight that I would play.

NBA DFS Forwards:

Paul George, OKC ($9,000)

George is definitely a guy that I want to pair with Damian Lillard because of position flexibility and the price tag. George had a rough game, shooting 8-24 and a horrible 4-15 from the 3-point line. However, George still was able to put up 48 DraftKings points and the Thunder need a big game from him if they are going to win tonight. The Thunder will go as far as Paul George can carry them.

LaMarcus Aldridge, SAS ($7,400)

Aldridge was terrible in Game 1, however, his rhythm was completely disrupted in his first time out. In the first half of the game, Aldridge got 2 fouls in the first quarter and missed a good portion of the first quarter, then with about 5 minutes left in the second he picked up his third foul and had to sit out for the rest of the first half.

This led to Aldridge only playing 34 minutes in an important playoff game. I expect we will see 38 minutes and I cannot expect him to shoot 6-19 again. I love Aldridge today to have a bounce back performance.

DeMar DeRozan, SAS ($7,300)

Don’t know how much I am going to get here because I will likely be paying up for Paul George. However, DeRozan is doing it all for San Antonio, scoring, assisting and rebounding. DeRozan is a triple double threat, with the upside of being able to score 30 any night. DeRozan makes for a good tournament play as the Spurs are tied for the lowest team total on the slate.

NBA DFS Value:

Will Barton, DEN ($4,700)

Barton was able to step up big in a game for the Nuggets. In 32 minutes, Barton posted 35 DraftKings points and in a double-double performance. Barton is a great value play to get much needed value at the forward position.

Position Overview:

I really want to get up to Paul George, but if I do not love my lineup with him, I am willing to pay down to get a lower owned LaMarcus Aldridge. I will be playing Will Barton as salary relief. I really do not love this position.

The pay down options down past Barton are not strong, however, Zach Collins ($3,400) if Kanter was to get into foul trouble could be viable. Also Markieff Morris ($3,300) could be valuable, however I cannot recommend Morris or Collins if you’re just playing a single lineup.

NBA DFS Center:

Nikola Jokic ($9,200)

Nobody will pay up at center tomorrow and playing him allows us to be different. Jokic only made four baskets in the first game and had 53 fantasy points in a great triple double output. I expect adjustments to be made from Popvich, however, Nuggets are in a must win game and Jokic is the center point of the entire offense.

Marc Gasol ($5,400)

Gasol I expect to be the chalk of the slate. Simply way to cheap for his production. Gasol is not going to smash value, but he is going to be able to consistently hit 5-times value at this price tag. Gasol is a lock in cash games.

NBA DFS Value:

Jakob Poeltl, SAS ($3,800)

I am disappointed that I didn’t play more of him a few nights ago, however, tonight I will be using him. Poeltl played 24 minutes in the first game and was able to score 17 DraftKings Points. Nuggets are a team that consistently plays two bigs and Poeltl is going to play in that scenario. Excellent source of value.

NBA DFS Slate Overview:

Overall, Damian Lillard is going to make every lineup for me today, I will likely split lineups between Russell Westbrook (40%) and Paul George (60%) to pair with Lillard because this is the highest total game on the slate and the Thunders offense is coming from somewhere.

Will Barton is going to get the lock button for me as well as I need a cheap pay down at forward. Center is likely going to be a pay down option for me in my main lineup but in tournaments I’m starting my lineups with Jokic as I think he will go heavily overlooked.

NBA DFS Core:

Favorite Five

Damian Lillard, POR

Paul George, OKC

Will Barton, DEN

LaMarcus Aldridge, SAS
