Not so good day from MLB Bets as the system let us down yesterday losing 3 units.  It’s the first really bad day and drops the season total to a plus 22.63.

Let’s start anew here on this Saturday.  All  MLB Bets plays valid regardless of pitching changes unless otherwise noted.  All times Eastern.

Oakland  (-1.05)  beats Pittsburgh again, 7:05 pm
The A’s ran it up on the Pirates on Friday and appear in a good position to win this game as well.  A positive pitcher formation will help the cause.

Chris Bassitt takes the hill for the A’s and he is in good form.  Thru 2 starts, 1 home and 1 away, he’s tossed 12 innings allowing 1 earned run accumulating 16 strikeouts to only 4 walks.  Sounds like a good fantasy candidate too.

Trevor Williams checks in as the opposing pitcher today.  He was pitching fairly well until his last start at Los Angeles but not as good as Bassitt.

Oakland has been a streaky team this year and there’s no reason to believe they will slow down in this spot.  The pitching angle favors Oakland and that should be enough between these 2 teams.

Arizona  (+1.18)  has enough to outlast Colorado, 8:10 pm
Arizona survived a scare in the bottom of the ninth Friday.  Luke Weaver should hold down the Rocky bats tonight.

Arizona has been piling up the runs.  Their home is in a hitters park – playing at Colorado won’t slow them down either.  Colorado sends Kyle Freeland to the mound.  He’s traded very good games with some bad ones.  Arizona bats could tee off again, and even if they don’t, Weaver could win a low scoring game.

MLB Bets – The Texas Bats Have Gone Silent

Toronto  (+1.25)  wins another over Texas, 8:05 pm
Ranger hitting has dried up in a great hitters park.  They have now lost 3 in a row and 8 of their last 10 games.

Upper managements’ decision to unload their 2 bets pitchers, Cole Hamels plus Yu Darvish, and basically get nothing for them is coming back to haunt it now.  Texas had their best producing pitcher going Friday.  Losing that game was demoralizing for Texas and their fans.

Today both starting pitchers have been knocked around posting a high ERA.  However with Texas not producing runs the door open for the Blue Jays.  They won 1-0 in 12 innings Friday and outhit Texas 11-4.

Stat wise overall these teams look about even, but the Rangers are in a slump and MLB Bets looks to take advantage of these short-term trends.

MLB Bets Recap For Saturday May 4th:

Oakland  -1.05
Arizona  +1.18
Toronto  +1.25

Other possible teams that may become plays on the MLB Bets network are:

Kansas City
San Francisco
San Diego

Should any of these games hit the MLB Bets radar we will post them on twitter.  Apologies to those who follow this system, we like giving out winners and are proud of the season as a whole, yet days like yesterday losing 4/5 are really tough to take.

I think the lines from the movie Moneyball sum it up for me.  Talking to one of his players Billy Beane said:  “You get on base, we win. You don’t, we lose.  And I hate losing.  I hate it.  I hate losing more than I even wanna win.”

That’s how I feel about days like yesterday.  The long run has been a winner over the years, so MLB Bets will be staying the course.
