Now that the offseason has officially hit for most players in the NBA, players such as LeBron James are in full recruiting mode.

With all the controversy surrounding Magic Johnson’s fallout with the Los Angeles Lakers, LeBron James continues to be focused on making sure he is able to bring superstars to his team. Although the Lakers weren’t even able to make the NBA Playoffs this year, the Lakers continue to stand as a top threat to land any of the top free agents this year.

With players like Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, Kyrie Irving, and many more hitting the open market this year, it seems likely that LeBron will try to recruit as many as he can. In an Instagram post that has Kyrie Irving photo-shopped in a Lakers jersey, James made sure to “like” the post.

Let’s not forget that just two seasons ago, Irving wanted to separate himself from LeBron to win a championship on his own. It didn’t work out so well, as he was unable to bring the Boston Celtics to the NBA Finals in his two years there.

Now that Irving is likely headed to free agency, it seems as if LeBron would be open to a reunion with Irving. Not only was the duo able to make the NBA Finals in every year they were together, but they were able to pull off the stunning comeback against the mighty Golden State Warriors back in 2016.

While there might be a little tension between LeBron and Kyrie, the two would be able to bring back some of the juice and magic they had when they played together. Getting these two together would also help LeBron in convincing someone like Durant or Kawhi Leonard to join the party in LA.

The Instagram “like” could mean nothing, but the reunion between LeBron and Kyrie in Los Angeles in something to keep an eye on as free agency looms in the near future.
