SummerSlam might be our last sighting of Finn Balor for at least a couple of months, according to a report.

Finn Balor will be taking time off from the WWE starting next month, Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned. Balor was attacked by the returning Bray Wyatt on Monday Night Raw.

Pro Wrestling Sheet was told by sources that Balor wants two months off. One source gave Pro Wrestling Sheet a reason why possibly behind Balor’s request.

"According to sources, Balor recently asked WWE officials for two months off. It’s unclear why exactly, but one source says the wrestler was just looking to “recharge.”"

The request was granted, per Pro Wrestling Sheet. His time off will more than likely start after SummerSlam.

A lot of fans are probably wondering why he is asking time off, even though he hasn’t been on television much in recent months. Just remember, Balor and the rest of the pro wrestlers travel and perform house shows just about every night throughout the week. The schedule of a pro wrestler, especially in the WWE, is a grueling one.

Wrestlers bodies also need some time off to heal as well.

While wrestlers know what they are getting into when they sign with the WWE, but it is also a very demanding and difficult job. Wrestlers asking for more time off shouldn’t surprise anyone because a lot of them deserve time off to take a break, recharge and get healthy.

In this day and age, it is more than likely time for the WWE to seriously consider having an offseason, maybe one that starts after WrestleMania? Let the wrestlers take a couple of months off, then starting building up to SummerSlam.

Balor is one of the most hard working wrestlers in the company, and deserves this time off. Who knows, maybe there will be some type of character change once he returns from his two month break. One thing to watch for is to see how he is booked between now, and SummerSlam. Wyatt, in particular, seems to be lined up as his next foe.
