Fantasy Football: Bold Predictions and Hot Takes

I’ll be honest, bold predictions can be terrible and I tend to hate hot takes as that just seems to be all the media is filled with today (sports media specifically). You see the shows with the talking heads and the two guys who bicker back and forth trying to say something crazy just to get relevant or maybe catch some retweets on Twitter.

I’m not going to be going for that exactly as I want these to be SOMEWHAT reasonable and to potentially be helpful for you in your upcoming fantasy football drafts or in the DFS season. I’m going to break this up into two different types of opinions – bold predictions and hot takes.

I would define a “bold prediction” as something that is not popular opinion but is certainly within a reasonable set of outcomes. I’m not going to sit here and make a bold prediction that Dak Prescott throws for 40 touchdowns because while some may say that is a bold prediction, I would call that an insanely hot take and near impossible outcome.

A not so bold prediction would be that Dak isn’t that good and certainly not worth the $40 million a year contract he’s looking for (sorry I just almost puked everywhere). On the other hand, we have hot takes. To me, a “hot take” would be categorized as an opinion that hardly anyone has and is probably a rather unlikely outcome.

I’m going to take you through 10 relatively bold predictions and hot takes here that should aid you in your season long drafts coming up. They should also prove to be useful for the upcoming DFS season.

Bold predictions that pan out correctly on a week-to-week basis in DFS is extremely useful and where I’m looking to bank some high tournament finishes to pad the wallet. We’ll start with bold predictions and wrap up with hot off the stove takes. Let’s dive in then shall we?
