FOX Sports One TV host and Sirius XM Radio host Nick Wright discusses his journey to the top on the On The Mark podcast.

Nick Wright won’t rest until he’s the best — the LeBron James of sports personalities in America.

(Sidebar: If he wants to be the best ever, he’ll have to strive for being the MJ of sports personalities, but we’ll get into that later)

The idea that Wright isn’t resting on his already impressive laurels shouldn’t surprise anyone, he has always set his career goals high. Its part of the reason the 34-year old is both a TV-host for First Things First on Fox Sports One, while also a national radio host of WhatsWright for SiriusXM 82. Wright credits knowing where he wanted to go as a key for his success.

“The best advantage anyone can ever have professionally is knowing where they are trying to get to,” Wright said. “Knowing what the goal is. And for me the goal was, and always had been, at one point in time, even if its incredibly fleeting, being America’s preeminent sports talk personality.”

Wright acknowledges that even with his incredible run to start his still young career, he is striving for more.

“I have not yet come close to achieving my original goal, and while the show is doing well, I’m not even on the number one morning sports show. So, I’ve got a ways to go.”

Wright joins this week’s edition of the On The Mark podcast to discuss his journey from wanting to play in the NBA to wanting to talk about it. Here is the show rundown:
