Adding certain players before Week 1 can be a huge boost to your fantasy football team and Albert Wilson is the perfect candidate.

The guys say it absolutely perfectly in the video(and we at FanSided were in agreement a couple of days ago) that Miami Dolphins wide receiver Albert Wilson is the perfect player to add right now and get in front of your league.

Miami is not going to be a good team. They have gone into tank mode in an effort to rebuild this team from the bare bones all the way up. That doesn’t mean the fantasy points go away, especially for the receivers. Since Miami stands to be trailing a lot this season, that means there is opportunity galore.

Not only will game script often be in favor for Wilson, 32 percent of the targets in this offense are gone. Both Danny Amendola and Kenny Stills are on different teams now, leaving DeVante Parker who is primed to breakout for roughly the 11th season in a row(it’s coming, I’m sure of it!) and rookie Preston Williams as wide receiver depth.

We have all the ingredients of a breakout in opportunity, game script and now let’s add in the fact that Albert Wilson is actually just a good player.

It’s a small sample but when he was in the slot last year, he caught all 12 of his targets for over 230 yards and three touchdowns. He suffered a hip injury that ruined last season but is fully ready to play this year, meaning his 4.43 speed should come to the forefront.

Speed should really help him because last season, Wilson generated 15 yards per reception despite having an aDOT of just 7.4 yards. When a player can generate that kind of yards after the catch, he’s showing how explosive he can be.

Putting him into mostly a slot role according to Miami Herald reporter Barry Jackson is only going to accentuate his talents.

All the facets for a fantasy football diamond in the rough are there and you should make the move now before your league catches on. Just be ready to message you rivals with “Bert Alert!” a lot this year when Wilson is a key component to your squad.
