NFL DFS Week 1: Cash game breakdown

Dede Westbrook – FD $5900 DK $4800

Westbrook is playing out of the slot and although we have a really tiny sample size of a preseason, Foles targeted him a ton. Also, if you recall our earlier discussion on Fournette and my concerns on the Chiefs game, there is absolutely a plausible game script/outcome where the Jaguars have to throw the ball quite a lot. If that’s the case, Westbrook could really ball out at this price with a ton of catches.

Michael Gallup – FD $5600 DK $4300

I’m not entirely sure if Gallup will be chalk on FD but I could see him easily being a salary saver with upside on DK that a lot of people plugin. You have the Giants terrible defense, Dak wanting to prove something, Zeke probably not playing the whole game, and Cooper with a plantar fasciitis issue which all points to a solid play. Gallup is a big play guy but could easily have a solid floor and doesn’t need much to pay off.

Adam Thielen – FD $7400 DK $6800

Thielen probably won’t be chalk but there is a scenario where he could be. Keep an eye on any developments regarding Stefon Diggs. Historically, if Diggs is hurt or even questionable, he plays terribly and Thielen could reap the benefits of a ton of targets. Also, take a look at how hot Thielen started off the year last year for the first 8-10 games. If Diggs is out, Thielen may become good chalk.
