A look at the start time, match card and live stream info for the 2019 edition of WWE Clash of Champions.

After a year away from the WWE pay-per-view schedule, Clash of Champions makes its glorious return this Sunday from the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. With every title up for grabs, this event could change the landscape of WWE heading into the fall season, a season that will see major changes as SmackDown makes its big move to FOX in just a few weeks.

Headlining the card is WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins facing Braun Strowman, the same man with whom he’ll defend the Raw Tag Team Championship earlier in the evening against Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. Rollins’ fiancée, Becky Lynch, also has a big night ahead of her as she takes on another of the Four Horsewomen in Sasha Banks, who makes her long-awaited pay-per-view return to challenge for the Raw Women’s Championship.

Sasha’s running mate, Bayley, puts her SmackDown Women’s Championship on the line as well against the woman named for the host city, Charlotte Flair, who should get a huge pop upon entering the arena. WWE Champion Kofi Kingston goes one-on-one once again with Randy Orton, all the other tag titles (men’s and women’s) are on the line, The Miz looks to tie a record, new names are getting big chances at gold and a big grudge match are all on the books for this Sunday so let’s get you up to speed on everything you need to know for the 2019 edition of WWE Clash of Champions.

WWE Clash of Champions 2019 match card

Roman Reigns vs. Erick Rowan

All signs point to Daniel Bryan being the mastermind behind the attacks on Roman Reigns but The Big Dog must first contend with Erick Rowan, who finally admitted to being the one who carried out said attacks.

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak vs. Lince Dorado vs. Humberto Carrillo (Triple Threat Match)

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Drew Gulak won his title in a triple threat match and will now have to defend it in the same manner as he battles both Humberto Carrillo, who was once the protegé of the champion and earned his spot in the match by defeating last month’s challenger, Oney Lorcan, in a No. 1 contender’s match. Lince Dorado defeated Carrillo the following week on 205 Live to earn his way in.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross vs. Mandy Rose & Sonya DeVille

After picking up a non-title win against Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross last week, Mandy Rose and Sonya DeVille earned themselves a shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship this Sunday in Charlotte.

SmackDown Tag Team Champions Big E & Xavier Woods vs. The Revival

Seeing as how The Revival have been aiding Randy Orton in his quest to take the WWE Championship from Kofi Kingston, they’ve obviously been tussling with Kingston’s stablemates in The New Day as well. Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder are now eyeing gold of their own as they battle Big E and Xavier Woods for the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

Raw Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins & Braun Strowman vs. Dolph Ziggler & Robert Roode

Ahead of their WWE Universal Championship showdown later in the evening, Raw Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman must first get along for a while (yeah, that’ll happen) and defend their titles against the interesting duo of Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode, who earned this match by winning Tag Team Turmoil on a recent episode of Raw.

WWE United States Champion AJ Styles vs. Cedric Alexander

The final title bout added to the Clash of Champions card, Cedric Alexander takes a shot at the WWE United States Championship when he goes one-on-one against AJ Styles. Alexander pinned Styles to win the 10-man tag match this past Monday night and hopes to do it again this Sunday. Styles’ O.C. pals, Gallows and Anderson, will likely be ringside to ensure that doesn’t happen.

WWE Intercontinental Champion Shinsuke Nakamura vs. The Miz

For a while, it looked like Ali was being set up to take on Shinsuke Nakamura for the Intercontinental Championship but after Sami Zayn got involved, things started happening with The Miz and now the “most must-see superstar in WWE history” gets a chance to win his ninth IC crown, which would tie him with Chris Jericho for the most in history.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley vs. Charlotte Flair

Deep in the heart of Flair country, Charlotte will vie for her 10th women’s title as she takes on Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. This match was set before Bayley’s recent heel turn and what started as Flair being the heel and Bayley being the babyface has now flipped. Flair should get a monster reaction in The Queen City. Charlotte also scored a pinfall victory over the champ in the Four Horsewomen tag match this past Monday night.

WWE Champion Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton

Following a controversial ending to the WWE Championship match at SummerSlam, which saw champ Kofi Kingston get himself disqualified, Randy Orton will get another shot at the title at Clash of Champions as this feud that began 10 years ago continues.

Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks

Sasha Banks’ return on Raw a few weeks back sent shockwaves throughout the entire women’s division and Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch became The Boss’ first target upon her return. Banks (and later Bayley) has viciously attacked The Man with steel chairs during the build to this match. Banks and Bayley came up a bit short in their tag match with Lynch and Charlotte Flair this past Monday night but Sasha is looking for a different outcome this Sunday.

WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins vs. Braun Strowman

It’s been quite a while since Braun Strowman has gotten a shot at the WWE Universal Championship but he’ll get just that at Clash of Champions when he battles his tag team partner (for now) Seth Rollins in the main event. The two finally got the contract signed this past Monday at Madison Square Garden with Stone Cold Steve Austin moderating and it will be interesting to see how the night plays out for this duo.
