Legacies begins its second season with episode 1 “I’ll Never Give Up Hope” on Thursday night. Here’s how to watch the episode online.

As season 2 of Legacies begins, it’s summertime in Mystic Falls and the students at the Salvatore School are enjoying their vacation while feeling a sense of loss. Some kids are off in Europe while others are staying at the school so they can be close to their brother who is stuck as a wolf.

Lizzie has gone the furthest from Mystic Falls as she is in Europe with her mother, Caroline. She is working on controlling her powers and helping Caroline look into stopping the merge. This is something Josie is also looking into with Alaric in Mystic Falls along with the ascendant their parents refuse to talk about as it is the key to their evil uncle’s prison.

Josie decided to stay home with her father as she wants to keep an eye on Alaric who is not doing so well since being fired from being headmaster. Also, Landon is staying in town as his only family (that he can currently remember) is stuck as a wolf. One of the many downsides to your girlfriend jumping into the evil pit that is your father and erasing herself from everyone’s memory.

Of course, Hope is not gone. She has figured out a way out of Malivore and is trying to find her way back to Mystic Falls. But, she is returning to a world that has moved as if she never existed. Hope’s friends may feel an unknown sense of loss, however, they have forged new relationships without Hope.

The new dynamic that will be most shocking for Legacies fans will be the relationship between Landon and Josie. It looks like they are dealing with the feelings they have for Hope and interpreting them as feelings for each other.
