NFL DFS Week 6: Fantasy football cash game breakdown

This article always focuses on the main slate for both FanDuel and DraftKings but I tend to touch on the Thursday game in the intro of this article. Usually, it’s a look back on how terrible the game was but I’m getting the article out a bit early this week and I think it’s important to try and play/reserve plenty of “Thursday – Monday” games as well as your mains for NFL DFS Week 6.

We only have so many opportunities at NFL, right? The single-game slates are awful (in my opinion) so it only makes sense to me to try and maximize your opportunity there. Honestly, my teams end up being just like my main slate teams and do pretty well. This game is horrific though this week and I think the Pats D is the only viable play against this mangled and beaten down Giants team. The Giants are projecting to have Engram, Gallman, Barkley, and Shephard out. This week I think it’d be reasonable to also look at the Monday game and maybe play a cheap Kerryon Johnson against the Packers if you play the full slate.

I’m planning on providing you with the cash game fantasy football DFS plays for the main slate for both FanDuel and DraftKings in this article. Ideally, this will come out on Friday’s or Saturday’s each week once we’ve had an opportunity to identify the chalk. When I say chalk, I mean the players who will be the highest owned in your FanDuel or DraftKings DFS fantasy football contests. The chalk has been KILLING it this year so I would hope you’re getting some cash from reading this. There is definitely a risk in not playing the high owned guys in fantasy football DFS cash games though. If they crush and you didn’t play them, you’re done for.

This article is going to try and key in on the good chalk plays so you can play them in fantasy football DFS cash games and be safe. I also highly recommend checking out the game by game breakdown done by Joe Metz which can be found here. Cash games are 50/50s, head to head games, and double-ups. Double ups are going to likely be the hardest of these types of games. Also, do not enter the big double ups unless you’re maxing them out.

Without further ado, let’s dive into the fantasy football DFS cash plays this week!
