The third episode of AEW Wednesday Night Dynamite on TNT is set to emanate from Philadelphia and will feature quite possibly the most explosive card in the show’s short history.

AEW Dynamite looks to continue their hot streak on Wednesday night with another card packed to the gills with marquee matches.

The main match for this week’s episode of Dynamite features AEW World Champion Chris Jericho defending his title for the first time against the masochistic phenomenon Darby Allin.

Allin won his way to this match by defeating another hardcore icon in the UK’s Jimmy Havoc. Allin jumpstarted his confrontation with the World Champion last week when he rode down to the ring on his skateboard and attacked the fleeing Jericho. Jericho took umbrage with the blindside attack and is now claiming that he will be bringing out his “Painmaker” persona to fight Allin in their world title match, which is also a Philadelphia Street Fight.

Both men will be looking to deliver in spades for this contest as the spotlight will be fully on them. This will most likely be the match of the night and fans should go out of their way to view it in all its violent glory.

Kenny Omega will be teaming with his Elite brethren Adam “Hangman” Page against two men who The Elite have had issues with, PAC and Jon Moxley. Moxley and Omega’s feud continues to pick up steam as the two head towards AEW’s next pay-per-view, Full Gear.

The two almost had a brawl last week but PAC blindsided Omega with a steel chair before Moxley could get to Omega. Omega has had issues with PAC in the past but his attention on Moxley had blinded him to the fact that PAC seems to be gunning for the entire Elite.

Hangman also looks to gain some revenge against his main AEW rival, PAC, in this match as well after he suffered a defeat to “The Bastard” at All Out.  Moxley will be looking to wear down Omega ahead of their pay-per-vew clash and gain some sort of advantage heading into their match. This match will be explosive and fans will most likely be on the edge of their seats throughout this contest.

The AEW Women’s Championship will be defended for the first time in history as AEW Women’s Champion Riho takes on her one-time tag team partner, Britt Baker. Riho is coming off two of the biggest wins of her tenured career as she defeated Nyla Rose on the debut episode of Dynamite and defeated her former mentor Emi Sakura in a tag match last week.

Riho is on the hottest streak of her life and she looks almost impossible to dethrone. Baker is looking to defend her status as the first woman to be signed to AEW and the infamy that came with that as well as capitalize on her first opportunity at the AEW Women’s Championship. Baker has the hunger and the drive to take Riho to her limit but the question is whether she has the killer instinct to beat the Women’s Champion in an important match like this.

The first of two tag team tournament first-round matches on this episode features the super popular Jurassic Express taking on one of the greatest tag teams in the world, The Lucha Bros. The Jurassic Express — Luchasaurus, Jungle Boy and Marko Stunt —are set to become one of, if not the, most popular tag team in AEW and a win here in the first round would only help bolster their burgeoning popularity.

This match will be a clear indicator on the future of the tag division and will lets fans know which team has a future as a tag title contender.

The second of the two tag team tournament first-round matches on Dynamite this week will pit two fan-favorites against each other as The Best Friends take on SCU The Best Friends have a solid record in tag matches so far and continue to gain fans due to their infectious energy and solid chemistry. The addition of Orange Cassidy to this group can only help  bolster the likelihood of a Best Friends victory as Cassidy is not afraid to get physical and make his presence known.

SCU are undefeated in trios action but have suffered two straight losses in the tag team division. The So Cal natives are starving for a tag win and they will be throwing out every maneuver in their playbook to gain that coveted win.

The third episode of Dynamite looks to be a hell of a show and more than likely this week’s episode will continue the hot streak that the new league is on.
