Manchester City face Atalanta at Etihad Stadium on Tuesday, Oct. 22. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

The Champions League returns on Tuesday for the third game of the group stage. In the marquee game of the day, Manchester City host Atalanta at Etihad Stadium. The Citizens are first in Group C with six points, while Atalanta have got off to a terrible start, losing their first two games.

Manchester City might have won the past two Premier League championships, but it looks like they will not repeat for the third time. City are six points back of Liverpool in the table. In the Champions League, the Citizens defeated Shakhtar Donetsk and Dinamo Zagreb in their first two games. Under Pep Guardiola, City have been able to score goals and score them often. Raheem Sterling and Sergio Aguero have combined for 17 goals in all competitions this season. However, if City are going to win their first Champions League title they will have to do a better job of defending.

Atalanta finished third in Serie A last season to qualify for the Champions League for the first time. The Goddess are again third in the Italian table with 17 points in eight games. However, their first Champions League campaign could come to a disastrous end if they are not able to start winning games. Atalanta were soundly beaten by Dinamo Zagreb in their opening game and lost 2-1 to Shakhtar Donestk in their last game.

If Atalanta are going to be successful, they will have to be aggressive with their press and hope to create chances for Luis Muriel and Papu Gomez. Muriel and Gomez have combined for nine goals this season and will have to step up with top scorer Duvan Zapata sidelined with an injury.

Manchester City and Atalanta have never played before. This will be their first of back-to-back games against each other. The reverse fixture will be played on Wednesday, Nov. 6, in Italy.
