RB Leipzig face Zenit St. Petersburg at Red Bull Arena on Wednesday, Oct. 23. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

The third game of the Champions League group stage kicks off on Wednesday with RB Leipzig hosting Zenit St. Petersburg at Red Bull Arena. With four points in their first two games, Zenit are tied for first in Group G with Lyon. Leipzig are third in the group but are only one point behind Zenit and Lyon.

After getting off to a great start to the Bundesliga season, Leipzig have dropped points in three straight games. Leipzig are tied with Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich for third in a very tight Bundesliga table, with only two points separate first and ninth places.

In the Champions League, Leipzig opened the tournament with an impressive away win against Benfica. However, the club returned to Germany and were beaten by Lyon in their second game. The loss against Lyon is the lone game this season that Leipzig have been held without a goal. Timo Werner has again been excellent this season, scoring a team-best eight goals. However, if Leipzig are going to get out of the group stage, they will need Yussuf Poulsen to start scoring again. Poulsen has only one goal this season after scoring 19 last season.

Zenit are tied for first in the Russian Premier Liga with Lokomotiv Moscow. In their two Champions League game, Zenit were able to steal a point from Lyon in France before beating Benfica in Russia. By picking up four points in their first two games, Zenit have given themselves a good shot at getting out of the group stage for the first time since 2016. The Russian side will again look to steal an away point. The Russian side will rely on the striker combination of Artem Dzyuba and Sardar Azmoun. The duo has combined for 17 goals this season.
