With the fantasy football playoffs just over the horizon, you’ll want to make sure you’re making the right lineup calls. Here, we cover our Week 11 “BOOM” or “BUST” picks for each position.

Fantasy football is an incredibly strange game – sometimes, even when all the stars align perfectly, players with great matchups can simply fall flat. Look at Cooper Kupp‘s game this past weekend as evidence, posting a big fat goose egg after recording no less than four catches in any game this season. There are many, many more cases of this, but we wont get into all that.

Well, the same cases can be made for both of last week’s “boom” picks at the running-back spot, where both David Montgomery and Devin Singletary turned in blah performances even in fantastic spots. For some reason, Montgomery wasn’t utilized at all in the passing game, while Singletary went back to a near-even timeshare with Frank Gore after dominating in Week 9.

For the rest of the bunch, most turned out pretty well – but still not exactly where we want to be. Jameis Winston racked up the yardage that we predicted but had a couple hiccups and only found the end-zone once. Keenan Allen busted out of his prolonged slump with a nice line, Gerald Everett was once again a prime beneficiary of “road Goff,” and Emmanuel Sanders had a strong start before exiting early with a rib injury.

First for the busts, concern about Jared Goff‘s declining play away from home was rightfully warranted. Devonta Freeman was also uninspiring before departing from the game with a foot injury. The duo of Kalen Ballage and A.J. Brown fell victim to their subpar matchups, and the only two picks that was incorrect in this category were Tyler Boyd – who did just enough in garbage time with rookie QB Ryan Finley throwing him passes – and Jacob Hollister, who surprisingly got the best of a the Niners.

Week 10 Boom Picks:

QB Jameis Winston vs. ARI – 358 yards, TD, 2 INT (20.3 points)

RB David Montgomery vs. DET – 60 rushing yards (6 points)

RB Devin Singletary @ CLE – 42 rushing yards, 3 receptions for 8 yards (8 points)

WR Keenan Allen @ OAK – 8 receptions for 68 yards, 18 rushing yards (16.6 points)

WR Emmanuel Sanders vs. SEA *INJ – 2 receptions for 24 yards (4.4 points)

TE Gerald Everett @ PIT – 8 receptions for 68 yards (14.8 points)

Week 10 Bust Picks:

QB Jared Goff @ PIT – 243 passing yards, 2 INT, FUM (3.7 points)

RB Devonta Freeman @ NO *INJ – 38 rushing yards, 3 receptions for 10 yards (7.8 points)

RB Kalen Ballage @ IND – 43 rushing yards, 4 receptions for 2 yards (8.5 points)

WR Tyler Boyd vs. BAL – 6 receptions for 62 yards (12.2 points)

WR A.J. Brown vs. KC – 1 reception for 17 yards (2.7 points)

TE Jacob Hollister @ SF – 8 receptions for 62 yards, TD (20.2 points)

Total Correct Picks – 7/12

All in all, it was an extremely average set of picks – and the unpredictable nature of fantasy football has caused some of them to stall in recent weeks. Here’s to elevating that pace for Week 11. Without further ado, lets dive straight into this week’s picks!
