Top star players, best value picks, and guys you should stay a way from on December 8 in NBA Daily Fantasy Sports on DraftKings and FanDuel.

Welcome to Studs, Scrubs, and Duds; FanSided’s NBA DFS lineup helper.

Here’s what’s on the slate for tonight:

6 p.m. ET: Chicago at Miami, Toronto at Philadelphia, LA Clippers at Washington
7 p.m. ET: Sacramento at Dallas
9 p.m. ET: Oklahoma Cit at Portland
9:30 p.m. ET: Minnesota at LA Lakers

How this works:

Studs: Top high salary picks that you can build your lineup around.
Scrubs: Value players looking for a big night or consistent options to help fill out your lineup.
Duds: Players to avoid given their high salary and/or poor matchup.

Five players are picked on each slide, positions are not applicable, and both DraftKings and FanDuel salaries are listed.

Studs

CJ McCollum (vs OKC – $7,100 on DK; $7,300 on FD): The Blazers are great against bad teams but OKC is a mediocre team so what gives? The last game was a blowout, this should be more competitive. McCollum is a Thunder killer so expect him to get loose and deliver a big scoring output.

Richaun Holmes (at DAL – $7,200 on DK; $7,400 on FD): It’s a back to back for the Mavericks, though they were able to get plenty of rest in the blowout on Saturday. Holmes has been excellent for the Kings and until he shows signs of slowing down, you should keep trusting him. He’s nearly a guaranteed double-double at the moment.

Luka Doncic (vs SAC – $11,700 on DK; $11,700 on FD): Speaking of a guaranteed double-double. Luka is almost to that point and he’s a triple double threat on any given the night. Luka is doing whatever he wants at the moment and the Kings certainly won’t be the team to slow him down. He’s the top salary but still worth your while.

Paul George (at WAS – $7,800 on DK; $8,800 on FD): The George-Kawhi duo hasn’t quite clicked as of yet but this is a great opportunity for both players to get on track. George will get the shots in this game. Trust him to get his offense going against a Wizards squad that doesn’t play defense. Kawhi is also a great option and more reliable, but I like George’s ceiling in this one.

Steven Adams (at POR – $6,800 on DK; $7,200 on FD): Adams is making the most of his limited minutes and it’s paid off for him and the Thunder. He does a little bit of everything and he usually plays very well against Whiteside. Maybe that hasn’t been the case this season, but those games were before Adams found his current aggressive role.
