Club Brugge face Real Madrid at Jan-Breydel-Stadion on Wednesday, Dec. 11. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

The Champions League group stage concludes on Wednesday with Club Brugge hosting Real Madrid. The Spanish side have already advanced to the knockout stage after picking up eight points in their first five games of the tournament. Brugge are third in the group with three points and will need to get a better result than Galatasaray if they are going to advance to the Europa League knockout stage.

Club Brugge are first in the Jupiler Pro League, holding a seven-point lead over Gent. In the Champions League, Brugge have three draws, two against Galatasaray and one against Real Madrid. In the first game against Real, Brugge had a 2-0 halftime lead behind Emmanuel Dennis’ brace.

However, the Belgian side was unable to hold the lead, allowing two second-half goals, including an 85th-minute equalizer from Casemiro. Manager Philippe Clement will try to get a better result in the reverse fixture. Hans Vanaken and Ruud Vormer will play key roles for Clement’s team on Wednesday. Vanaken leads the club with 12 goals, while Vormer leads the club with 14 assists.

With Real Madrid already through to the knockout stage and locked into second place, manager Zinedine Zidane can opt to rest his key players and focus on their Dec. 18 game against Barcelona. Real are currently tied with Barcelona for first in La Liga. Zidane could choose to go after a La Liga title that has eluded Madrid since 2017 by resting players and giving some reverses much-needed experience.
