The 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Show will kick off during the big game and will feature two of the music industries’ biggest stars Jennifer Lopez and Shakira.

Things are really beginning to heat up in sunny Miami, and fans everywhere are ready for the Super Bowl to kick off. This year’s Super Bowl features two very talented football teams competing for the coveted Lombardi Trophy.

The San Francisco 49ers and their powerhouse defense with rookie sensation Nick Bosa take on quarterback Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs explosive offense. This exciting game is poised to be one for the record books, and fans everywhere will not want to miss one second of the action, especially the always popular halftime show.

Two of the biggest names in entertainment will be taking the stage to entertain the world between the second and third quarters. Jennifer Lopez and Shakira will be performing live at the big event, providing a few firsts as well.

The two global superstars have never performed together on stage, but more importantly, it will be the first time that two Latinas are headlining the revered extravaganza. The epic endeavor is only a mere 12-minutes, but given the amount of talent that will be in the mix, its safe to say it will be a Hall of Fame-caliber halftime show.

The Super Bowl halftime show has received criticism in the past for its choice of performers and the concert itself. But given the talent involved and what these two legends have in store, the only losers Sunday night will be one of the two teams going head-to-head.

JLo and Shakira have said they will have an empowering message that beautifully honors their cherished Latino roots. They will also pay tribute to NBA star Kobe Bryant who tragically died in a helicopter accident on Sunday.

Kickoff for the big game at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens is scheduled for 6:30 pm ET. Demi Lovato will be starting things off with the national anthem. Then if all goes smoothly through the game’s first half, viewers can most likely plan to see Jennifer Lopez and Shakira take the stage at around 8:30 pm ET.

From the thrilling game to the brilliant commercials, there are so many reasons to tune in to this year’s Super Bowl, but the fantastic halftime show Super Bowl 54 has in store is definitely at the top of the list.
